The focus on the SND International Health Care Conference on May 3, 2012, was Global Health Awareness. Presentations were made by Dr. Padmini Murthy who works at the United Nations (UN), Mr. Bruce Compton from the Catholic Health Association (CHA) of the United States, and Dr. Sam Matheny, who is part of the global health mission at the University of Kentucky (UK). The participants were made aware of global health issues, and the efforts being made by the UN, CHA, and UK to address these issues.
